It Takes Time

With only the rarest exception, it takes time to do anything that brings exceptional results!

How much time? This depends on many things, our dedication to perfection, the number of exhausting distractions, and our ability to stay focused on outstanding results, no matter what.

Time, it’s all we’ve got. Use it well!

50, Old Enough to Know, and Make a Difference

With more than 34% of the US population over 50, why do we leave it to twenty-year-olds to set our standards?

Recently, in a battle to read the fine print on the back of a can of paint, even with my best reading glasses, I could not make out the fine print. It’s just stupid to take the time to write something of value, then print it on products so small, that only 50% of the potential customers can read.

There seems to be a need for mature adults to get involved in more creative ways. Cell phones come programed for those with perfect vision and tiny fingers that can text 100 words a minute. Guess what, that’s not everyone!

If you are over 50, and one of these moments happen, it’s time to make a ruckus and ask for products for mature people, or it may be time to become an influencer and help make a much-needed change.

There’s a lot of age-dumb things that need our input!

Problem Solving

Life is mostly about solving problems, yet most of us are awful with addressing complicated issues, and it’s solving the most challenging problem that allows progress in our lives.

Here’s an example of what I mean. Yesterday my blog was about borrowing money to start over. My ending challenge was not to do that! Money being the concern, our thinking often goes to if I don’t have the money I can’t do this, no matter what this stands for.

We are talking about starting over, in life, in business, however you want to look at it, it takes strength to create new ideas. It takes courage to go where we’ve never been before, and those characteristics may be exactly what we need to solve our problem and move through it.

Let’s climb out of the box and find a new way or ways to solve today’s problem.

Where do I get the Money to Start Over?

Money to start over is probably not needed, but, it is one way to expedite the process. If you decide to take a route that requires some money outside your current means, make sure your plan is solid, that this action will not set you back in months to come.

If you decide funding of some kind is required for your plan to start over, where do you get it? Is it realistic to think you can borrow money at this point in your life to start any kind of business? This will be a different answer for each of us, I’m sure, but let’s suppose you are not in a good position to ask for a loan, at least not a typical loan from banks or traditional lending institutions, what do you do?

There must be a hundred ways, most of them are not a good idea. The easier it is to obtain money when you are not in a strong position, the riskier it becomes to do so.

What about finding ways to earn and grow?

“To Rise Like a Phoenix from the Ashes”

The title is about a mythical bird that lived in Arabia. Phoenix means “to be powerful or successful again.”

A universal characteristic of this bird is the ability to resurrect, it rose from the ashes to live again!

Because of its age, this bird’s knowledge was as powerful as it was extensive.

Like the Phoenix, many of us have lived long enough to acquire knowledge that if applied, could create a life of abundance, an abundance of friends, abundance or happiness and, yes, even fulfillment.

Inspired by a video by Saliha Ergunes, Myth of the Phoenix.

Do What You Do – Better!

What if it were possible that the very thing you do now could be the thing you do to win!

Jerry, a good friend of mine has told me many times, doing more is not the answer, sometimes you’ll make more money and enjoy the work better by doing less, better. Do a better job finding the right opportunities, do a better job selling them, and make it easier to do them well.

In a time like today with everyone, even the 24-year-old self-proclaimed expert, is telling us they can help us 10x our businesses, it’s a little hard to see less, as more!

But what if that’s possible?

Starting Over Will Most Likely Require Change

It’s unlikely that we can change our ending by starting over without real change, a transition to a new being.

This comes by way of thought and a determination to follow the path of a better future. To me, starting over is about starting with a new direction in mind, and creating a life and life-ending that brings satisfaction and fulfillment. To others, it may be to acquire a lifestyle they have longed for and have yet to reach.

Either way, starting over will most likely require change, a transition to who we really want to be!

Starting Over May Require Letting Go!

If our goal is to start over, to create a new life, why do we remain shackled to things that limit our time and space. After all, time is all there is. It’s the space required to become what we choose?

Out of habit, we hold tight to our old lifestyle, where we live, the mortgage, the rent, or possibly the cars we drive. These are some of the very things that have kept us tied to current occupations and our busy lives! They have limited our time and energy, causing us to focus on survival, (paying the bills), instead of allowing us the time and energy to explore the paths that lead to the change we are seeking.

Find Sustaining Work/Income/Opportunity

Whether it’s to start over or just to get started, it takes time and thought to go in a direction that will bring a lifestyle of choice. We are taught to follow the normal patterns, get a job, find a house, an apartment and start living. Create expenses, and pay the bills. Create a normal cycle and get lost in the loop! To what end?

The challenge is to find the right opportunity to sustain life while doing something with our lives that is worthwhile!

My challenge is to, schedule time to think! Think about “what”, and “how” you will live while doing something worthwhile. What will that look like? What will you do?
